Quote request form for tradespeople

A call that starts with "can you come and have a look?" often ends in a drive across town for a job you could have priced from a description. This form asks what kind of work it is, what exactly needs doing, the type of property, whether the customer owns or rents it, how urgent it is and where. You can sort emergencies from jobs that can wait, and decide whether a visit is needed or a few photos are enough.

Opens as an editable form in your dashboard. If you're not signed in yet, you'll sign in or create an account first.

Tips for this form

  • List only the trades you actually do, so you don't receive requests you'll have to turn down.
  • Add a line to the form description saying that prices are confirmed after a visit when a job can't be judged from the description.
  • When a tenant asks, check that the landlord agrees to the work before you book it in.
  • Keep the urgency question required — it is what lets you call emergencies back first.

Questions about this template

Why does the form ask whether the customer owns or rents?

Tenants often need the landlord's agreement for repairs and alterations, and someone else may be paying the bill. Knowing it early saves a wasted appointment.

Can customers send photos of the job?

This template asks whether they'd rather send photos first, so you can ask for them by message or email. You can also add a photo upload field in the builder.

Is the quote binding once the form is sent?

No. The form only collects the request; what you offer and on which terms is up to you, just as with a request by phone. You can give a rough price first and confirm it after seeing the job.
