Volunteer sign-up form

When a festival, a collection or a clean-up is coming, the question is always the same: who can help, with what, and when? This form builds your volunteer list ahead of time. People tick the kinds of tasks they'd like to do and the times they're usually free, add any skills they bring and give an emergency contact. Under-18s say that a parent or guardian agrees and name them. When the next event comes, you filter the list instead of sending a message to everyone.

Opens as an editable form in your dashboard. If you're not signed in yet, you'll sign in or create an account first.

Tips for this form

  • Rename the task options after the jobs you really hand out, from setting up stands to answering emails.
  • Export the sign-ups as a CSV file and sort by availability when you plan a rota.
  • If you work with children or vulnerable people, check what background checks apply to volunteers where you are before they start.
  • Thank new volunteers quickly and tell them when the next opportunity is; a sign-up without reply is easily forgotten.

Questions about this template

Why ask for an emergency contact?

So you know whom to call if something happens during an event. The field is optional, and you can remove it for tasks that are only done from home.

Can young people under 18 sign up?

Yes. They say that a parent or guardian agrees and give that person's name. Whether and for which tasks you take on under-18s is up to your organisation.

Is this a contract?

No. It's a sign-up for your list. What you agree with each volunteer, such as tasks, insurance or expenses, you arrange separately.
